Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd., the holding Company. JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd has informed BSE that the final hearing of the Company Petition filed by the Company for seeking sanction of the Scheme of Amalgamation was held on February 02, 2007. At the said hearing the Hon'ble High Court of Judicature of Bombay at Mumbai has sanctioned the Scheme of Amalgamation of Lekar Healthcare Ltd. with the Company. (As Per BSE Announcement Website Dated on 06/02/2007) The Hon'ble High Court of Judicature of Bombay, at Mumbai sanctioned the Scheme of Amalgamation of Lekar Healthcare Ltd. (LHL) a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, with the Company on February 02, 2007. Accordingly, on filing of the said order with the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra, Mumbai, the Scheme of Amalgamation became effective from April 01, 2006, the appointed date. In view of the said Amalgamation the annual accounts include the figures of LHL.
